Nerve Day maps tangled emotions and experiences into an honest but unconscious journal of inner dialogues. Recorded throughout 2020, the album is a deliberate rejection of concept or commentary. Instead, it offers a record of impressions processed into sound without being reduced to concrete meaning, inviting intuitive connection. The result is sound design that can ruminate obsessively, unexpectedly collapse, or snap into focus and movement. The title refers to the nervous system’s role in interpreting and creating reality, describing ongoing negotiation between internal and external selves, and the world.

The ten tracks are built from layering hardware synthesis, granular processing, samples, and field recordings into dense, often heavily manipulated structures. They range from clouds of ambience punctuated by off-tempo kick drum workouts to corroded trance builds or shards of percussion blurring into karplus-strong improvisations that are closer to free jazz than drum and bass.
